Probably a little random to do a site update on christmas, so I'll keep this part short: I made a bunch of small changes that you likely won't notice unless you're browsing on a text-only browser, or if you really like to read the HTML of the pages you're browsing (weirdo! lmao jk, me too). Also some really minor changes that you might notice if you're paying way too much attention to some random guy's website (weird css stuff I did when I was sleepy that I keep forgetting to fix).

Now that that's out of the way, I have to admit, it was kind of all an excuse to make a little post to celebrate the holidays with anyone that might be reading (I've made tons of updates like this and this is the first time I've made a post about it, so it might be a little obvious).

One of my friends asked me a while back if I wanted a good present or if I wanted a dumpster fire project present, and of course she was aware I would prefer something I can obsess over and get angry at for months on end. I was not expecting I'd get one of her retro handhelds, specifically the one I kept making jokes about "fixing her with NixOS" (I don't know if that's actually what I'll do, but I feel like it'd be a disservice to my friend if I didn't at least make an attempt. I am a silly clown and also an extreme technological masochist, if I didn't do something that made her ask "what the hell is wrong with you", it would be very out-of-character of me).

My husband got me Nine Sols, and it's yet another game I went in completely blind on purpose, purely at the recommendation of others that I would like it, and I really wasn't expecting I'd be screaming within the first 20 minutes. I love screaming at video games so it's fine. I love it. I'm already obsessed.

I'm making gifts for a lot of people, and I made the mistake of working with a new material so close to when it needed to get done, and the material I'm using requires a lot more time to dry than I was expecting, so I jokingly told everyone, "you're getting your gifts in January". "Jokingly", as if that's not actually what's going to happen lol. I'll post some of my process later, I'm having a ton of fun with it, and I think it'll definitely be something fun to post about. I'm taking pictures as I go with some of them, so hopefully it won't be a big text-only post like this one is. I've already got some sanding and refining down with one of them, now I just need to paint one Billion layers onto it or something like that.
